Hello, I'm Jack Siddeley. From this point on I'll be taking charge of the facility. I will update the Front Page on a fortnightly basis at least and during periods of high activity (touring for instance) much more frequently. There will, of course, also be constant additions of content behind the scenes as we expand. This is your one stop TheThe shop catering to all your TheThe needs. As such I welcome any input you may have in order to help me improve things. Now, for the tour.

THE FRONT PAGE
The heart of any newspaper worth it's salt and ours in no different. Here you'll find the latest news and stories about TheThe before any other publication, online or off. Back issues of the front page will be stored in boxes inside the museum.

THE COLOUR CODED LOZENGES
Along the top of your Front Page you will find a bar of six colour coded lozenges. At the moment most are inactive but over the coming months, starting from today, they will be switched on one by one by Hampton Crowley. A small announcement on the Front Page will notify you to this effect.

Located at the very top of the Lazarus building the Conference Rooms include my 'Letters to The Editor' forum. This area is also where, eventually, Matt will conduct press conferences, interviews and Q&A sessions with journalists and members of the audience during periods of high activity. Our ultimate goal is to have a three dimensional virtual conference room. Testing continues but implementation may be some way off.

A small though comfortable booth, this is where you'll be able to put on a pair of old oversized Pye headphones and listen to recordings of both old material (for newcomers) and the very latest TheThe material, hot off the tape machines and before anywhere else in the world.

The darkest room in the building (and the most comfortable in my opinion) the 'womb with a view' is where you can relax in a red velvet seat as your feet sink into deep piled maroon carpet while you watch the past, present and future films of TheThe. From early videos and rare tour footage right through to brand new album trailers and
exclusively filmed interviews.

A pleasant, airy space located at ground level. This is where you'll be able to peruse TheThe merchandise before purchasing. Everything from the CD's themselves to exclusive box sets, DVD's, posters, books and items of clothing will eventually be on sale here. There is also a small passageway leading out to the backyard, where we will host regular yard sales for you to exchange your rarities.

This damp, slightly musty smelling room on the second level basement is where, by light of paraffin lamp, you can rifle through old cardboard boxes filled with lyric books, back issues of This Is TheThe Day, old press clippings, sepia toned photos, dog eared tour programmes and other rare memorabilia. You may even catch site of the
odd crumpled stage costume hanging up (including Johnny Marr's old sequined catsuit)

Very Swiss, utilitarian and clean, our tool shop is specifically designed to give journalists (and audience members) all the tools they need to keep them bang up to date. From up to the minute biography, discography and photo sessions to the latest reviews hot off the press. All downloadable at the mere touch of a button. When a
project has passed it's sell by date items here will be carried by me personally down to the Museum for
archiving.

At the top left hand corner of the Front Page you will find a red box. Here you will be able to subscribe to TheThe news mail-outs. This service is only to be used during periods of high activity, such as touring, record releases or news flashes. We will not waste your time or take up your valuable computer space with irrelevant messages.

These links, chosen by Matt Johnson and/or other members of the 'This Is TheThe Day' team will take you directly through to another site that may be of interest, either because it has some relevance/relationship with the subject matter of TheThe's lyrics, because it belongs to a collaborator/friend of TheThe or because it may just be of general interest. As 'Links Of The Day' become 'Links Of Yesterday' they will be carried up, again by me
personally, to the conference centre to be placed in a file where they will remain active and accessible.

On a final note, I have been briefed that in the old www.thethe.com 'guest book' area there were some security issues regarding people posing as band members and causing problems. For this reason I'm afraid I will require you to display your e-mail address whenever you post letters to us. You have my word that your information
will 'not' be passed on to any third party mailing lists. Well, I hope you are as excited about the potential of this new facility as I am. I look forward to reading your thoughts, feelings, comments and suggestions in my Letters To The Editor forum.

Your sincerely

Jack Siddeley
