the forthcoming release of 45rpm volume 1 for late May 2002.
It is the first release in our collaboration with Sony to
remaster, repackage and re-issue Epic records entire TheThe
catalogue.
Having been sonically restored with meticulous care at
New York's Masterdisk studios by the legendary Howie Weinberg,
this long awaited album seems to positively sparkle.
UNCERTAIN SMILE
The original Epic single produced by Mike Thorne and recorded
in New York in 1982. This version is actually a previously
unreleased edit between the 7"
and 12 " versions. It features the haunting saxophone
solo of Crispin Ciao, which some people seem to actually
prefer to the Jools Holland solo on the later version.
PERFECT
The original Epic single produced by Mike Thorne in New
York but radically overhauled by Paul Hardiman and Matt
back in London in 1982. Features the brilliant harmonica
playing of ex- New York Doll, David Johanson.
SWEET BIRD OF TRUTH
A previously unreleased edit of this infamously banned
single. Produced in New York by Roli Mosimann and Matt.
INFECTED
Extra loud version of this classic track. Produced by
Warne Livesey and Matt.
HEARTLAND
A new edit combines the album and single versions of one
